Weekend Event suggestions
1) Lootmasters weekend:
Henchman/Heros do NOT get any of the loot (items, weapons, dye, res's, etc)
Henchman/Heros do NOT get any of the gold
2) Guild Hall Fixup:
Special tokens drop to be used to buy guild hall services. Have missions like they did for the dragon festival (Jadewind orbs etc). 1 token counts for 1000 gold (but only if used for buying guild hall services). No merchant value.
3) Golden Path to Wisdom:
ID'ing a gold items counts for 10 points not just one towards the wisdom title. (Only gold items that drop during the event, not those stockpiled by some otherwise there would be a lot more sale spam)
4) Armor Clad weekend:
Special tokens drop to be used to buy FOW, etc armor. one token is worth 1 plat (have them only drop in FOW/UW) but only when used to buy armor. No merchant value.
5) Skillmaster Weekend:
Have missions that reward elite skills (1 per mission) for your primary profession. (must be level 20 to accept missions. Max 5 missons per player per character) (this idea needs work)
Constructive comments welcomed..

so on the henchman, etc.. not getting any of the drops, are you asking the rest of the party be randomly assigned their loot? or does it just drop and first grab first gets?
I see everyone going out with all henchies/heros to farm green so that if a green was to drop it is always assigned to them, basically like solo farming, but now with the help of 7 hero's/henchies. Nice in theory, but not in practice I think.

1. NO, this is against the basic mechanics of the game.
2. maybe not bad but also not very interesting
3. x10? LoL, this removes the point of existance of the title as 1 hardcore weekend beats long months of normal gameplay. Ridiculously stupid.
4. Even worse than 3), a BIG NO to it. FoW armors are plentiful already, dozens of thousands of players have them. Arenanet wants this armor to remain the most elite set among all campagins, so a weekend that would enable ANYONE to have it at will would completely destroy the point of it. The tokens would get farmed quickly and fow armors would be as cheap as any 1,5k armor.
5. may be interesting but probably very hard to do - multiple new missions just for a weekend?

1) Solo farming but only 1/8 the difficulty.
2) It's ok I guess...but the Tokens would then be farmed and sold for 800g or something.
3) No, that helps solo-farmers as they are more likely to get a gold as they farm by themselves.
4) No...only people who actually worked towards getting FoW armor should have FoW. If you have the tokens everywhere, everyone will get FoW and the special part about FoW armor will be no more.
5) That's like getting Eviscerate from a mission in the Crystal Desert...no.

Look, I have some stuff to say. You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout I'm telling you why these ideas won't work.
1) Lootmasters weekend: Farm Crazy (I'll use a FC to indicate this throughout the post)
2) Guild Hall Fixup: FC
3) Golden Path to Wisdom: FC, and this seems kind of unfair to me to give 10 per gold... People would scam off old golds instead of the weekend golds for muy mucho oro, and end up in unhappy customer. If it was to happen, it shouldn't be 10 golds either, that's way too many for one gold. 10 golds would equal 100? Hell no.
4) Armor Clad weekend: FC
5) Skillmaster Weekend: No way, HOSE-AY! Let's have a weekend where we give out amulets of the mist every time someone completes a quest instead. Skillmaster weekend would be good, if it rewarded skill points to people. I definitely need that since grinding for tons of skills isn't my idea of fun.

i don't think you get it... if anet wanted everyone to have it they would make the price like 15k aswell, but they don't they want to make it HARD, so it feels like an ACHEIVEMENT, if every wannabe poor person has it wheres the acheivment when you get it through painstaking hard work? your stealing that away from them.

Aye. Vanity items like Fissure armour have always been meant to represent an achievement. You don't lose anything by not having them apart from the prestige of having them - and if you make them easy to get, that prestige goes away and it's just another skin.
Of course, if you made the tokens only good for the gold cost of the armour and still left the materials (which in the case of FOW and Vabbian armour especially is the main cost of the armour) that might be workable...
